Back to normal…

Such as it is. I finally got my car back, and returned my rental car today. So I’m back to normal…sort of. Unfortunately, I have to take the car back to the repair shop sometime soon, so they can fix the paint. There’s some noticeable problems, and they didn’t really do a great job. Just so you know, I do NOT recommend Allied Collision & Auto Repair to have work done. They fixed it, but that’s about all I can say. Anyway, hopefully, I’ll be able to get new tires on there soon, so she’ll be running in tip-top shape. So I went to Kate’s birthday party on Friday night. It was fun, and the Pimps and Ho’s theme was absolutely insane. Michelle’s ex-boyfriend Justin showed up dressed as a ‘Ho’, and it was hilarious, if not totally disturbing. I’m pretty sure everyone had a great time. Unfortunately, I couldn’t stay all that long. I was totally exhausted from barely sleeping the night before, and having to work all day. Sorry I had to leave so early, all. Kate, happy birthday, and welcome to your 20’s. They’ll be some interesting years, I guarantee it. Anyway, that’s about all. I should have pictures of Kate’s birthday up before the end of the weekend….hopefully. Probably….maybe. I’m out.

Nothing new, unfortunately…

My car is still in the shop, I’m still bleeding money on the rental car, and I’m still working too late to enjoy time with my friends. Yeah, everything’s going great right now. So lately, life has been very lonely. I feel like I’m living in an isolation. I haven’t spent much time with friends lately, since everyone seems to be living a different schedule. It’s pretty rough. Everyone’s going through birthdays and such, finding love, or at least someone to share their experiences with. It would be nice to have something like that, but it’s been far too long now, that I’ve forgotten what it’s like. More and more, I feel like my friends are slipping away, and I’m not sure if it’s my fault, or if it’s just a natural course the way things happen. I’ve been thinking more and more about moving out on my own, making a fresh start, and seeing what I could accomplish if left to my own devices. But I’ve come to rely on my friendships greatly, and don’t want to lose those friendships I already have. It’s something I’ve never really experienced before. I’ve always been pretty much an isolationist, and have always been satisfied keeping my own company. But lately, I’ve found it’s not enough. I’m not sure what I’m looking for, I only know I don’t have it. Anyway, I’ve taken a bit of a break from any type of creative project, letting the batteries ‘recharge’, if you will. I’ve got a couple ideas for a new story I want to write. It’s a mystery, for once, and I’m hoping that I can piece it together and make it REALLY good. We’ll see though. I don’t want to say too much, since I’m still working on the idea. I’m also working on the new BKB Designs layout, but have gotten stuck, after creating the logo. I’m still trying to decide on color scheme, etc. I’ve got a ton of items and events on my plate for the next few months as well, what with the Episode III release in May, my birthday shortly thereafter (start thinking about ways to celebrate it folks), and the War of the Worlds release in June, along with my Brother’s wedding, I’ve got a ton of stuff to buy and get ready for. Hopefully, I’ll get my car back soon. I kinda miss it. Anyway, I guess that’s it. I could go on and on and on, but I’ll spare everyone the complete thoughts firing through my brain right now. Goodnight.

Rental car runaround…

So the rental car company calls me at work today, and says they need to swap my car, because they sold the one I’m driving. Yeah, I could barely believe it, too. But then I got to thinking: if I had to drive over there, just to exchange the car, they basically would have to give me whatever car I wanted, just for the inconvenience. So I ended up getting a Jeep Liberty. I know, it’s not the worlds greatest choice. My only other real option was a Chrysler Sebring, a Dodge Durango, or another PT Cruiser. I’ve always liked Jeeps, so I decided to go for the Jeep. It’s actually pretty nice. It’s a bit more comfortable than the PT Cruiser, and certainly has more power. Anyway, I’ve got it for another week or so. I’m still waiting to hear from my insurance company about fixing my car. So that’s it. That was the most exciting thing that happened to me today. Other than that, it was Retard day at work. They let every retard they could find out of their cage, handed them a cellphone, and said “here, go nuts”. Insanely frustrating day. Anyway, I’m out. Gonna finish watching the 3rd season of Curb Your Enthusiasm before heading off to sleep…

New Home…

Welcome to my new website! I’ve been hard at work all weekend long (since I’ve had nothing else to do without a car) working on the layout. This should have been version 3 of BKB Designs, but I’ve decided to roll my personal stuff into the BradKBrown.com site, and my website/graphic design stuff over to BKB Designs. Anyway, take a look around, and let me know what you think. I don’t have a comment thingy yet, but I will soon. Updated: I’ve posted tons of new pictures in 5 new galleries, over in the Picture section, so make sure to check them out. Also, please send me an email if anything seems to be missing, or doesn’t work right. I’m still working on getting my error pages to work correctly.

Accidents Happen:

Okay, for those of you who don’t know, I was involved in a vehicle accident on Thursday night on my way home from work. I’m fine, but my car isn’t. Fortunately, there wasn’t as much damage as could be possible, but enough so that the car had to be taken to a body shop. I’m currently waiting for the insurance company and body shop to let me know how much the estimate for repairs is going to be. I should hear something about that on Monday. In the meantime, I’m planning on getting a rental car, so I should be able to return to work on Monday. Anyway, without going into too much detail, the accident was my fault (in Texas, when you rear-end someone, it’s automatically your fault), but I was lucky, and the police did not cite me with a ticket. So anyway, in other news, I’ll be opening my new layout soon, but with a twist: it’s a new address. Announcing: bradkbrown.com Opening as soon as possible, I still have a few pages to create, as well as build the back-end update system. Shouldn’t take too long though, so I’ll keep everyone updated. That’s it, I’m out. Gotta go take care of other things….
